ONEHOPE is dedicated to celebrating and serving the world—both through their wines and their charitable partnerships. Their impact page outlines all of the organizations they’ve donated to (and the impact they’ve made), but we especially love their glitter sparkling wines. ONEHOPE’s wines are the perfect new year’s beverage, and they support causes like ending childhood hunger and the Trevor Project, a 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention hotline for LGBTQ youth.

2. Chateau La Paws

We love our pups here at The Good Trade, so it’s exciting to see our favorite beverage supporting furry friends in need! Chateau La Paws’s California wines include Pinot Noir, Merlot, Sweet Red, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay, each with a label that features a shelter dog who either needs a forever home or has already happily found one. This wine raises awareness of shelter dogs in need, and donates proceeds to no-kill animal shelters in the US.

3. Purple Heart Wines
Ethics | Donates to Purple Heart Foundation to support US veterans

Partnered with the Purple Heart Foundation, Purple Heart Wines was created to honor and support the veterans of the US Military in need. Since the launch of Purple Heart Wines in early 2016, they have donated over $60,000 to the Purple Heart Foundation and have also donated to support veterans impacted by the California wildfires. These donations go towards assisting veterans with new Service Dogs, scholarships, resources to help cope with PTSD, and other medical funding—so raise a glass in support!

4. Dreaming Tree Wines

Musician Dave Matthews partnered with winemaker Sean McKenzie to create environmentally-minded wines out of California, and the result is delicious. They keep sustainability in mind from seed to glass, with lighter wine bottles, solar power, transparent carbon emissions disclosures, and recycled paper labels. Dreaming Tree Wines, a Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing winery, also donates to environmental organizations like The Wilderness Society and Living Lands & Waters—and has donated over one million dollars to date.

With a mission statement of “turning beer into food,” FINNEGANS donates 100% of their profits towards feeding people in need in Minnesota and the surrounding region. They’ve donated over a million dollars to food banks, and have a goal to reach two million dollars. FINNEGANS enlists volunteers to help with food bank events, beer festivals (in return, the festival donates to a community fund), and as barstool philanthropists to help spread the word about the brand’s work.

A beer that you’ve probably seen on your local grocery store shelves, New Belgium is an accessible brewery with something for everyone! New Belgium is a 100% employee-owned B Corp, and they’re well-known for their sustainability efforts and transparent sourcing. Abita Brewing Company is committed to being a good corporate citizen by doing what they do best: brewing beer. Proceeds from various beers have gone to support organizations in and around Louisiana to help support relief, recovery and community revitalization efforts after Hurricane Katrina and environmental cleanup following oil spills in the Gulf of Mexico. Four Leaf was founded by two friends who had each lost a parent to cancer, which led to their decision to support the Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center.
